PROFILE:  

  

The profile of the hat is defined as the height of the hat as it sits on the head.  For most hats and hat wearers, the normal profile is medium.  A low profile hat sits tightly on the head.  A high profile hat would sit anywhere from ½ inch off the head to 1 inch off the top of the head.  A medium profile hat is our standard height that we recommend.  We also manufacture visors and trucker style hats. 

 

  

STRUCTURE:  

  

The structure of the hat is totally customer driven.  An unstructured hat would sit flush and follow the contours of the hat wearer's head.  A structured hat has backing on the front two panels, some call it buckram.  This backing allows the two panels to remain a bit more upright and does not follow the contours of the head as tightly.  We recommend either a structured or an unstructured hat in the medium profile. 

 

 

  

STRUCTURED HAT 

  

CLOSURE:  

  

We have six different CLOSURES available: 

·       Buckle and Grommet Closures snaps and lock to the desired fit.  We have the capabilities to emboss the buckle on orders over 500 pieces. Essentially, this closure allows the hat wearer to customize the fit and lock it down.  The tail of the hat (or the closure strap) is then inserted into the Grommet and is concealed.  We are able to embroider the visible tail of this closure. 

 

  

  

BUCKLE AND GROMMET 

·         Slide Buckle and Grommet Closures (also called D rings) allow the wearer to slide and lock to the desired fit.  Essentially, this closure allows the hat wearer to customize the fit and lock it down.  The tail of the hat (or the closure strap) is then inserted into the Grommet and is concealed.  We are able to embroider the visible tail of this closure. 

 

  

  

SLIDE BUCKLE AND GROMMET 

·         Slide Buckle and Tuck Closures allow the wearer to slide and lock to the desired fit.  Essentially, this closure allows the hat wearer to customize the fit and lock it down.  The tail of the hat (or the closure strap) is then inserted into the Grommet and is concealed.  We are able to embroider the visible tail of this closure. 

  

  

  

SLIDE BUCKLE AND TUCK 

·         Plastic Snap Closures use a plastic locking system.  The male and female ends match and provide a quality closure.  Most of the "trucker" style hats have this type of closure system. 

  

 

PLASTIC SNAP CLOSURE 

  

·         Velcro Closure allows the user to simply press and hold to the desired hat fit.  Velcro is our most popular closures and allows us the ability to embroider on the visible portion of the closure.

·         Flexible Fitted Hats have an elastic band that spans hat and provides a tight snug fit.  This hat is a one-size-fits-all hat.  This hat is available in 3 sizes S/M, M/L, & L/XL.  A minimum of 144 hats per size is permitted.

WEIGHT:  

  

We have three base weights to our hats: Light, Medium, and Heavy Weighted materials.  As you can imagine, a Light Weight hat is cooler and is made of lighter weight material.  A Medium Weight hat is our standard hat and is recommended.  Heavy weight hats are warmer and are constructed using a Heavy weight Fabric. 

  

FABRIC:  

  

We have the opportunity to provide the customer with virtually any fabric desired at any material weight.  Typically, customers choose brushed cotton or washed cotton.  Brushed Fabric has a soft/light "velvet" textured feel.  Washed fabric has denim "like" feel.  Brushed is the more popular choice and is the standard that we recommend.

BUTTON:  

  

A button is placed on the top of every hat.  The button color is dependent upon customer preference and may be customized. 

  

 

  

EYELETS:  

  

Eyelets are the holes that are placed on the top of the hat and allow a minimal amount of circulation.  There is typically one eyelet per panel.  The eyelets may be sewn or metal, if metal; they may be brass or silver. 

  

  

    

  

INSIDE BAND:  

  

The Inside Band is the portion of the hat that touches the head.  The inside band is usually left blank, although we have the capability to embroider the inside band with text.

WOVEN LABEL TAG: 

   

A Woven Label is an option for any hat.  This is another feature that allows complete customization of the hat. 

  

  

 

  

SANDWICH:  

  

The sandwich is located on the front part of the BILL.  A hat may have no sandwich and be the same color as the material on the bill, or the sandwich may have color. The sandwich may also have text.
